Our Team

Dan Henrickson: Was tired of working 60+ hr weeks working in Canada, and knew there was more to life than this. After watching several close friends experience what Korea has to offer, Dan convinced his wonderful wife, Aggie to embark on an adventure of a lifetime…with their 8 month old son! They spent almost 2 years in Korea, teaching in a wide variety of classroom settings. Dan has been a tireless worker for teachers for the last 2 years, and is proud to consider most of the teachers he has helped, personal friends.

Aggie Henrickson: Not only is Aggie a sounding board for all of Dan’s ideas, she also plays a vital role in the daily operations of Teach ESL Korea. She currently takes care of each and every teacher, from the moment they agree to a contract, to when they land in Korea – during the critically important E2 visa process. With 2 kids at home, she makes miracles happen on a daily basis.

Shawna Cha: Has spent 5 wonderful years in Korea, and has recently married her Korean husband, and they now have a beautiful baby girl. Shawna is one of our Teacher Reps, who helps teachers understand life in Korea, and helping them find the job that is best for them.

Michelle Laarissa: She is the newest member of our Team, and wears a few different hats. Since she also spent 5 years in Korea, she is able to handle most of our incoming generic emails from people considering this exciting experience. She also helps Dan and Aggie with many administrative tasks. In case that wasn’t enough for the 3rd mom on our team, she also takes care of some of our teachers as their Teacher Rep.

Julice: With her 8 years of experience helping teachers secure great jobs in Korea, Julice has a very well-known reputation for having great schools, and being extremely well-organized. The majority of her schools are in Gwangju, but she also has many in the satellite cities around Seoul.

Jane and Scott: This wonderful team is as well-connected as any recruiting company in Korea. With an amazing array of both public school, and hogwans, in virtually every city in Korea, it almost seems hard to believe with these 2 on our team we will not be able to find you the job you’re looking for.
