Introductory Video

The profile picture of an applicant has always been considered very important to Korean schools. If a picture is said to be worth a thousand words, imagine use useful an intro video can be when trying to express to schools why you will be a great choice for their school!!!

  • Please work on a 30-60 second intro video.
  • You don't need any fancy cameras of editing equipment - any digital camera (and most smart phones) will have a video feature
  • Don't be stressed, just do your best.
  • Dress for an interview
  • Smile!
  • Speak enthusiastically, but also clearly.
  • Be excited to be a great teacher, not just a tourist.
  • Talk about any experience with children.
  • Be open-minded to being in a new country for a yr, as well as listening to the instructions and advice from your Korean co-teachers and director.
  • Be outgoing and energetic.

Upload this video to YouTube and send your TR the link. Don't send us the file as a large attachment.

I promise schools love these videos lately and this is worth your time and effort. Schools need to make an important decision when they hire their native English teacher, as they can be considered the face of the school. The school must make this decision from the other side of the world, without being able to meet the applicant(s) in person.

Thank you in advance for the hard work on your intro video.

Please see some examples of intro videos other teachers have done for us at Teach ESL Korea – [Examples of good Intro Videos]
